- Greater control of construction materials.
- Is a cleaner and safer system.
DEACERO's Truss Girders are mainly used for the prefabrication of concrete planks, a medular element in the Hallow Block floor Slab System for constructing concrete slabs.
DEACERO's Truss Girders have a triangular shape, are electro-welded and have three deformed longitudinal bars (one upper and two lower). They are joined by a smooth diagonal bar in a zig-zag pattern, and are Electo-Welded every 20 cm.
With DEACERO's Truss Girders, a prefabricated plak is manufactured by pouring a concrete rib in the lower part of the truss. The rib supports the hollow blocks which make slabs lighter.
DEACERO's Truss Girders provide the resistance of prefabricated beams responsible for the structural safety of concrete slabs constructed with the Hollow Block Slab System.
The Hollow Block Slab System
Hollow Block
Hollow Block, It is supported directly by the planks. It's function is to eliminate the contact wooden form and to lighten the slab. It does not contribute to the slab's resistence and it can be made of concrete, polystyrene, etc.
Compression Layer
This is the layer of concrete poured on-site that is monolithically joined to the plank, due to the diagonal bars found in DEACERO's Trusses Girder. The concrete’s minimum resistance must be f’c = 200 kg/cm2.
Reinforcement of the Compression layer
The steel calculated for reinforcement is the minimum required for the thickness and changes in temperature. For a thickness of 3 to 4 cm, DEACERO 66-1010 Reinforcing Mesh is recommended and for a thickness of 5 cm 66-88 is used.
Propping-up
The system requires provisional propping-up until the concrete strained in place reaches an appropriate resistance. A minimum of seven days is recommended.
